INDUK HOSTED ‘TEAM SINGAPORE TAEKWONDO’ AFTER 2015 SEA GAMES ACHIEVEMENT
Posted on June, 2015

After their success at the 2015 SEA Games, Team Singapore Taekwondo kindly accepted our invite to INDUK Taekwondo for a ‘Meet & Greet’ session with our students. Visiting INDUK were – Poomsae players, KANG RUI JIE and CHELSEA SIM; and the Kyorugi players, JASON TAN, LIM MING WEI, VINCENT LIM, CHEW XIN WEI, NUR FADZLYN and EVELYN KUA. Present were also, Vice President of Singapore Taekwondo Federation - Dr. HO MUN WAI; and the coaches - WONG LIANG MING & JANG HEE-JAE.

The team shared their experiences at the games and also encouraged the children to train hard for the sport. Apart from sharing their experiences, the players also answered questions posed by our students. Questions ranged from their training routine and how they prepared themselves for the Games, to being curious about their diets. After the team shared their experience, to the delight of our students, gold medal winners KANG RUI JIE and CHELSEA SIM did a Poomsae performance; and our students had chances to ‘spar’ with our the SEA Games Kyorugi players…!

Gold medalists KANG RUI JIE and CHELSEA SIM who both drew the loudest cheers, and the team obliged to a beeline of autograph seekers. Many photographs were also taken with the students’ very own sporting heroes. It was a fun and engaging afternoon which left many of our students, inspired to train hard and be the next national player to be part of Team Singapore.

Once again, congratulations to all our SEA Games players and coaches for bringing glory to Singapore. We wish them the best in future Games and competitions.
