On the contrary, learning the sport will teach your child to be more patient and discipline. At INDUK, instructors follow the code of ‘respect’ and ‘restrain’ and aims to inspire all our students to develop a good sense of self-discipline, social graciousness, humility and respect for others. These are the fundamental values of taekwondo which parallels the meaning of ‘INDUK’.
We encourage you to register for a ‘trial session’. During this trial, our certified instructors will put you and/or your child through the paces of basic taekwondo in the very environment where training sessions will be conducted. You will be able to decide after if you wish to start training with us.
Should you decide to sign up, all students will be required to purchase a set of dobok (taekwondo uniform) which is to be worn during each training.
Our youngest students are about 2½ years old. From 3½ to 5 years of age, they will usually be enrolled in the ‘Toddlers Class’. At this age, it is not just about learning the basics of taekwondo kicks & hand techniques, they will also be put through designed routines & exercises to enhance their motor skills as well as to listen to instructions. Besides, they will also be taught the ‘soft’ side of a martial art, that is ‘character-building’. They will be taught in a subtle yet effective manner, aspects of discipline and respect for their teachers, parents and peers.
You need not be fit and flexible to learn taekwondo. In fact, your general fitness and flexibility will improve after picking up the sport! Taekwondo is a martial art & sport that focuses on you and your determination to succeed. Over a period of committed training, you should see an improvement to your overall fitness and physique plus on your way to be a better self!
Absolutely! We have a program designed to encourage parents and children to interact and bond in a unique way. The ‘IndukFAMILY’ class allows the family to learn and provide positive support for each other. As they say, a family that plays together, stays together.
